Nanobots are the units used by the player to defend the playing field against bacteria.
From the proposal: There are several units available for purchase during the setup phase of each round. Players receive credits based on how many units they have on the field for each second of the combat phase of each round. They can be placed on any non-infected cell. They have unique properties for health, their area of attack, and their strength of attack. Below is a table of the units available in the game:
